David Raymond Maldonado

David Raymond Maldonado, 71, was born in Phoenix, Arizona January 14, 1947 and died at Ryan House, Hospice of the Valley, surrounded by loving family members on January 21, 2018. David graduated from Phoenix Union High School and immediately enlisted in the U.S. Army, 1st Infantry Division "The Big Red One". He was a Vietnam Veteran and a proud member of the American Legion Post 41. David worked for many years as a mason and belonged to the Arizona Bricklayers Association. He loved hunting and fishing and being outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Adela Maldonado. He is survived by his two sons Steven (Jennifer), Casey; granddaughter Anna; grandson-to-be; former wife Frances Maldonado; sister Bobbi Maldonado Forner; brother Frank (Heather); and many nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be at 12:30 PM Tuesday January 30, 2018 at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek, Phoenix.
