"I am amazed that I was able to find out about marks passing. I normally do not read the paper but I happened to be in mchenry today at Happy Jacks, a hot dog ice cream that opened when we were in parkland school, and I happened upon is obituary. We went to school together in mchenry parkland school. Our group consisted of Mark, Scott Kuhns Paul Carleson and myself. We were sort of a nerdy bunch Paul and I were on the big side ,Scott was quiet one, and Mark he was the smaller intellectual one. We hung out for all three years at parkland. I lost track when we got to high school, I wish I would have stayed with that pack of friends I probably would have gone to college. I am very sorry about the loss , from what I have read he sounded like a great guy which means he is a great loss to all of you. His name brought back great childhood memories."
