"In the 1980's my husband Kurt and I came to Susanne as paying guests and left as friends. We have cultivated this friendship ever since. No wonder considering Susanne's kindness, hospitality and humour. Unforgotten are the funny evenings on her patio with neighbor Irene. Her affection will be stored in my heart and our laughs will keep ringing in my ears. So long, Susanne ..."

"Dear Family, I extend my deepest sympathy for the loss of your beautiful Susanne. We had a long time friendship, As an art gallery representative, I had the opportunity to work with her and some of her clients in her interior design profession. She joined the Phoenix Art Museum docents in 1983. As the 1984-85 Docent Chairman, I was delighted when Susanne offered to volunteer her gifts to design a dedicated room in which our docent members could finally come together to meet and plan their activities. It turned out beautifully and was completed for the museum's 25th anniversary celebration. More recently, this year just before her illness was diagnosed, Susanne contacted me when she heard that I was head of Ministry for the Saint John's Bible at the Franciscan Renewal Center here in Phoenix. We have developed a docent program for presenting the bible to various groups. Susanne was enthusiastic to join the training program, she would have been a wonderful addition to the program. She soon learned of her serious illness and asked that I pray for her. I am so saddened at her passing, she was a lovely, giving and kind person in everyway. I do have an extra copy of the docent's 25th anniversary directory and would pleased to send it if you would like to provide an address. At that time we did not list the photos along with the names. However, I can also send a later directory which includes Susanne's photo. I'd be happy to send both. Blessings and Peace, Marge Woods"

"Susanne and I were neighbors as youngsters at the Tannery near Falls Creek, PA. We both graduated from Sandy High School in 1958. I remember her as a bubbly cheerleader. My wife and I visited her in Phoenix, AZ the first year we retired (1998). Her hospitality was phenomenal. She attended our high school breakfast group that meets the first Wednesday each month. She will be missed by her classmates and friends. God bless Susanne and her family."

I was almost always invited to join them. She was a good cook! we became good friends. I was at her wedding to Ken, who was a kind and gentle person. I believe they were very happy together. when he had to visit doctors in Scottsdale Suzanne and Ken would take the time to visit me as I had moved to Scottsdale. Our friendship continued until her passing. I treasure the time in my life when susanne and I were neighbors. We had a mutual friend who lives in Germany and I have written to her. Susanne would have wanted her to know. I will miss her very much and I will treasure the memories of our time together."

"Dear Family, I was so sorry to learn of Suzanne's death. I first met her at Barrows in 1976 when she helped me with some decorating needs. Then, later I became a Docent at Phoenix Art Museum and there she was! It was always so nice to see he and her radiant smile. I am sure I remember meeting her one Friday this last fall in the parking lot at the museum. We frequently would run into each other, especially at Master Docent events, and we always had a nice chat. I did not know she was ill. I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing her with the rest of us all these years. Sincerely, Sherry Koopot Romans 8:38 and 39"

"Dear Susanne?s family, I have known Susanne since she became a Phoenix Art museum docent,1983. She was such a beautiful spirit, smiling and laughing. She was a very caring person. Always wanting to help you if you were having issues. I remember when she and Ken became engaged. She announced her engagement while on a trip to Los Angeles with myself and 4 other docents. Her excitement and joy was quite apparent. The Phoenix Art Museum docents were fortunate to have her .She contributed many, many hours as a docent. She certainly will be missed. Donna Powell"
