Edith Scott Minnich

Edith Scott Minnich, 81, of Scottsdale passed away Friday, May 6, 2016. Edie was born to John H. & Erma Scott on September 17, 1934 in Long Island, NY. The family moved to Litchfield, AZ when Edie was a young girl, graduating from Litchfield High School. She was a certified lifeguard prior to marrying Robert "Bob" on December 10, 1953. To this marriage, three children were born - Gary, Bill and Carol. Bob and Edie raised their kids with enthusiasm and introducing them to camping, dirt bikes, ATV's and the great outdoors. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, animals but most of all Edie loved spending time with her family, especially at the family cabin in the Ponderosa Pine forest of Northern Arizona. She will be missed by so many who loved her.

Survivors include her son, Bill (Deb) Minnich, Sioux Falls, SD; daughter Carol (Ciro) Giunta, Scottsdale, AZ; grandchildren Marshall Minnich, CA, Angela (John) Kay and Anthony Giunta, Phoenix, AZ. Also surviving is her beloved Chihuahua "Dolly" as well as their many 'friends at the cabin'. Edith was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, son Gary and brother Richard.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the Giunta residence at 6:30 p.m. in Scottsdale as well as a Celebration of Life at the cabin on Sunday, May 29.

No services were requested.
