Joshua Kissoon

SCOTTSDALE / PHOENIX - Joshua Kissoon aka Larley, was born on June 5th, 1949, in Toms Hope, West Retreat, Portland, Jamaica, to James and Elizabeth Kissoon and has passed away on December 3rd, 2019. He will be missed!  In Jamaica, he worked as a waiter for many years at Frenchman's Cove Hotel and Bonnie View Hotel.  Joshua migrated in 1970, to St. Louis, Missouri  and relocated with the Rosses family to Scottsdale, Arizona in the early 1980's.  He was married in Jamaica, on December 20th, 1978, to Carmen Veronica Bryan.  He eventually moved his wife and daughter from Jamaica to Scottsdale, on April 13th, 1986. This was a beginning of a new lifestyle for Joshua and his family.  He later retired as a chef and butler after working with the Owens, Cummings, Halle and Ray families.  He had a passion for his many families, friends, Jamaica and deep sea fishing. He is survived by his loving daughter Dian Kamalee Kissoon Hixon, son in law, Gregory John Hixon and grandchildren Paris Hali, Milan Hanalee Hixon and Joshua (Booker) Hixon , and sisters, Carmen Kissoon - Philadelphia, Mavis Mohamed - New York, Nora Coombs and Rachel Bolageer - Jamaica, and brothers, Hubert Kissoon aka Baya, Moses Kissoon aka Rattan, Aaron Kissoon aka Finger - Jamaica and Rueben Kissoon - England. He will be missed and Rest in Peace!  A memorial service will be held at Hansen Desert Hills Chapel, 6500 East Bell Road, Scottsdale, Arizona,  85254 on December 22nd, 2019 at 11:00 am.  During summer of 2020; another memorial celebration of Joshua's life to follow in Jamaica.  To be announced online March 2020.
