A loving and thoughtful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, Wendy Lasker, 48, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away September 9, 2019, with her family by her side.
Wendy was born on January 31, 1971 in Phoenix. She attended school in Paradise Valley and graduated from House of Michael School of Cosmetology. She worked as a hairdresser in several salons, then in 2009 she and Matt opened their own business where they have made many good friends, both personal and professional.
She will be remembered for her loving and feisty spirit. She was a friend to everyone she met and almost always had a smile on her face. In her spare time she loved to spend time with her family, fishing, camping, traveling, gardening, girlfriend weekends, playing games on her ipad and doing jigsaw puzzles.
Wendy is survived by her husband Matt; daughters Jessica Brickie and Kristine Brickie; parents Jack and Anita Riehm; her sister Lori Friedman and husband Adam; niece Erika Kemp; nephews Jake Kemp and Ryan Friedman. She also leaves her mother-in-law and father-in-law Mark and Sybil Lasker; aunt and uncle Theresa and Dennis Larson; several cousins, numerous other relatives, and her beloved dogs Pig and Meaty.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary in Scottsdale, Arizona. A service and celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home located at 6500 East Bell Road, Scottsdale 85254.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials which will be contributed to an animal shelter in Wendy's name.

"This is so hard to write! Wendy was my friend and confidant for class to 20 years. I had the pleasure to see Matt working next to this beautiful soul and I feel as if I know you girls so well as she very proudly talked about you and your lives often. She was one of the first to visit me when I broke my femur, with gifts and magazines to keep me busy. I can?t express how much she will be missed. God bless and keep you all at this time of grief."

"Wendy has been my hairdresser forever! I started with her when she was in a small Salon in the corner of the Target Plaza at 7th St & Bell Rd. There was never a time that she was in a bad mood or having a bad day. She always listened to my bad days and cheered me on to all my good days! She was a friend I will miss dearly and selfishly can't believe she is gone, but I know she is blessed with being by the Lord's side today and will live on forever in my fond memories of our haircut chats and hope that her family will find comfort in my thought I am sharing with you. She will be greatly missed... :("

"It's difficult to believe I'll never see that sunny smile again......every 6 weeks for over 20 years, I had the
good fortune and pleasure to spend a couple of hours in Wendy's chair...talking about everything.....and
laughing at most things.......when I think of the color "pink," I think of Wendy...and probably always will....."
