"Cynthia, I am so sorry for your loss. Eric was an amazing friend, and I appreciate the times we all spent together. Safe journey Eric. -Adam"
January 25, 1973 - July 17, 2019
Father, brother, son, husband, writer and friend (and of course bread man), Eric Shepard passed away at home July 17, 2019 in Peoria, AZ. Eric had a quick mind and was always kind to others. He was the first to problem solve an issue with a friend or lend his thoughts and advice. He is best known for the love of his family and dedicated his life to providing, nurturing, and loving them.
He was born in Pocatello, ID and moved to Arizona at the age of 9. He is survived by his parents, Shawn Harrell of Phoenix, AZ and Dwayne Shepard of Vanderwagen, NM and his brother Lance Shepard of Phoenix, Arizona. He leaves his wife of 22 years, Cynthia (Carman) Shepard, their three children, Alex, Grace and Maggie Shepard, all of Peoria.
He worked for Sara Lee as an independent operator and made many fine friends on the loading docks and at the stores that he served. He loved to listen to music, write, and play games with his friends.
In lieu of flowers, you may make charitable donations in Eric's name to "Put on the Cape" (https://www.putonthecape.com/).
His Memorial Service is being handled by Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N. Seventh Street, Phoenix, AZ 85020.
A celebration of Eric's life is scheduled for 4:00 PM on Friday, July 26, 2019. He will be cremated and has requested a "living urn". His family will determine his final resting place.
