"Madison, Jimmy, and Kylie, I am so very sorry for the loss of your father. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Just know we care, Tim and Sherry Reed"
Jim Milano, age 46, was born on Chicago, Illinois on February 22, 1972 and unexpectedly slipped into eternity on January 16, 2019.
Best known as "D-Bax Jim" for his unwavering love of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Chicago Cubbies, he was also a lifelong fan of the Arizona Cardinals and Chicago Bears! Jim also loved to fish and was avid billiards competitor in the early years. He loved coaching his son's football teams over the years and felt that he was called to "help and inspire" young boys to become "strong men" because "life is not only a team sport, it's a contact sport and we need to know how to play the game and hit hard but fair. Only clean hits".
Jim was raised an only child and always dreamt of having a large family with "a whole friggin football team!" He married in 1995 and began working on his family plan, however, his then wife, Liz, thought a compromise was in order. In the end, they had three beautiful children and young boys he coached completed the revised plan.
Jim was handy with his hands and liked to fix things including stained glass. Even though he was colorblind, he found a way to design and build custom stained-glass windows for private residences, as well as restaurants. But his favorite piece was a giant lamp that had fallen from above a billiards table and was in pieces. Jim repaired the piece and added sandblasted embellishments that the owner thought made it even better than when it was new. That was Jim.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Madison Milano Cryer, son-in-love, Jeremy Cryer, son, James Milano, Jr., daughter, Kylie Milano, mother, Karen Milano Goldinov, step father, Frederick Goldinov and half-sister, Frances (Zygmunt) Figueroa (Chicago), brother-in-love, Jaun, and niece, Gianna.
He left us much too soon. His family takes comfort that he will watch over his children and future grandchildren, his pride and joy.
Memorial Service is planned for Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Hansen Mortuaries, 6500 E Bell RD, Scottsdale, Arizona 85254 (480-991-5800)

"My deepest condolences to his family. We met at a rock show and bonded instantly over drums, music, kitties, and talked endlessly. He called me all sorts of mutations of my "Barb" ne and found it amusing when I called him Jimbo, Jimbo Shrimp, Jim Shorts, Jim Teacher, JimBob, and Jimbalaya. He was my 2nd amigo, my wingman, and a shoulder to cry on. He was like a brother. I'm so sad and so stunned I never got to say goodbye. He was a righteous dude, loved his family, and a kind soul. Gone way too soon. I will never forget Jim. I am so sorry to his mom, Karen, who he talked about endlessly to me during g our all night gab sessions. Much love my friend."
