"To my bereaved cousin Cheryl, her son Landon, Cheryl's husband Wayne, and the rest of my Uncle Carl's relatives who also mourn his passing: Uncle Carl was such a charmer...so good-natured...loving practical jokes:) He suffered many setbacks with his heart trouble, surgeries, and injuries, but always came bouncing back--to the surprise and delight of us all! Until now. At 90, he lived a good and full life, and for that I/we are very thankful. But we will surely and sorely miss him, rest assured. I carry with me the fun memory of Carl's visit to our Wisconsin farmhouse w/his family when I was young: A very large spider was spotted sitting on the floor; everyone 'knew' Carl had placed it there (plastic assumed) as a joke to scare his sister Gladys (my mother), but he denied it. Finally someone went to pick it up to prove it was fake and it suddenly RAN! Everyone screamed and then laughed at length:) ...We still never trusted uncle w/things that scare, after that--due to his larger-than-life sense of humor!! Carl also came out to Arkansas from Arizona, to be near Mama, his sister, on her death bed in 2009; he only ever teased her because he LOVED her so dearly! Our family appreciates all he has done, and been, for us. He will always be remembered with love and fondness. Please be comforted knowing he is at peace now, and in God's loving Care."

"So sorry to hear of Carl passing. He was a good neighbor, and friend. We will always remember his Model A and how much he loved it. He lived a good long and healthy life. Your family was fortunate to have such a wonderful father and grandfather."
