Dorothy Bourne, 84, of Scottsdale AZ passed away on Tuesday, October 23rd.
She was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Arizona in 1975, after relocating with her husband's company.
As a young adult, Dorothy traveled with a dance troupe performing in various cities. She worked various jobs throughout her life, including Navajo Freight Lines, Wieboldt's Department Store, Sentry Insurance and Prudential Insurance. She retired to enjoy spending time with her family, friends and traveling the world. Dorothy was an active member of La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church, where she was involved in various groups, including Priscilla Circle, Knifty Knitters, MOPS and volunteered at their preschool for several years.
Dorothy is survived by her four daughters, Linda, Sharon, Carol, and Kathy, six granddaughters, Lisa, Katie, Liz, Laura, Sara, and Morgan and eight great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Brandon, Carter, Emily, Zane, Evan, Sylvia and Madison.
Our family would like to express sincere gratitude to all the caregivers who provided support and comfort over the last few months of her life.
A visitation is scheduled at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary on Sunday, October 28th from 11 to 1pm, at 6500 E Bell Rd Scottsdale, AZ.
