In loving memory of

Paul Parouse

On the night of May 14th, while listening to Frank Sinatra's "My Way", and surrounded by family, our beloved husband, father and grandfather Paul Parouse passed away. He was 72 years old.
Paulie was a fiercely proud father of David, Dawn, Shane, Violet and Aberdeen. He was a fun loving, larger than life grandfather to Aidan, Declan, DJ, Wesley, Sylvie, Tyler, Shylah, Astrid and Saga, and a devoted husband to Rita. Paulie was a singer and storyteller, a proud Navy vet, and an entrepreneur. Born in Scotland in 1945 and raised in Brooklyn, he was a rascal with a twinkle in his eye. He would do anything for you and he cried at your smallest of accomplishments. He had a kind and generous soul and one of a kind. Godspeed Paulie.

Funeral services for Paul will be held at 12:30pm, Friday, May 18, 2018, Hansen Desert Hills Chapel, 6500 E. Bell Rd., Scottsdale.

Interment will follow at 1:30pm at Hansen Desert Hills Memorial Park.

"Rita, I am so sorry to hear about Paulie. My thoughts & prayers are with you & your family at this time. My heart, my love goes out to you. Paulie was a good friend to me while at Century 21. It was because of him I had the career I did. He encouraged me to continue to learn & go after my Brokers license. Every CE class I think of him. I love to learn & he was a great teacher. A great mentor to me & countless others. God be with you & your family during this very difficult time. God bless you Rita & children."

"Rita, This message is sent with heartfelt sympathy and sadness as I fondly remember the fun times we had together in the choir those many years ago. Paulie was always a special guy to me and I wish I had acted on those times when I've thought of you both and vowed to get back in touch. Knowing him, I'm sure he's made quite an entrance into heaven and has joined the angel chorus in singing Halleluia. May the Lord be with you and give you comfort as his memories fill your heart. He will surely be missed by all those who knew him."

"Our hearts are heavy upon learning that Paulie has passed. Paulie was a true original. I never met anyone who projected confidence and optimism like he did. Life was never dull when you were in his presence. 72 years is too soon, but I know Paulie packed a lot of living into that time. Heartfelt condolences to Rita, Violet, Aberdeen and the rest of the Parouse family."

"To Rita, daughters Violet and Aberdeen, their spouses and Grand Children, I am so sorry to hear of Paul's death. It's been more than 13 years since my husband, Franklin and I left Scottsdale but it's with fondness that I remember Paul's and Rita's friendship and the good memories we chalked up as members of the same church. Two, especially stand out: Paul's concert of Frank Sonatra songs and as guests at Thanksgiving at the Parouse home. You and Paul, Rita, were 2 of our favorite friends there and have remained so. Please accept my condolences. irma Cornelius ps I do not have a current address for you, Rita .Could you email it to me?"
