William J. Spata

William J. Spata, age 73, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

He was the husband of Christine Spata. They shared 45 years of marriage together. William was born in Melrose Park, Illinois, he was the son of parents William (Billy--Show Business Spata) and Frances Tangorra/Spata.

Bill was employed as a union journeyman/electrician and contractor. Bill enjoyed completing projects around the house, professional wrestling, and car auctions. He was the world's best car buying negotiator. He had a fondness for Italian food. Bill was given the nickname "Pug" at a very young age by his siblings and it stuck over the years. William was a protective, regimented, strong, and loyal man to all that he knew and loved.

He is survived by his wife Christine Spata, and daughter Denise, daughter Melissa and spouse Phil Harris, and son Billy Spata and spouse Valerie Spata. His grandchildren will miss him beyond words (Christine, Kate, Nevaeh, Brock, Billy, and Shelby). He was from a close Italian family with sister Phyliss Frias and brothers Bob Spata (predeceased 1.6.17), Ron Spata, and Joe Spata. He is survived by 12 nieces and nephews on both sides of the family.

Visitation will be from 2:00 - 8:00 pm on Monday, December 11, 2017 with a memorial service at 4:00 pm at Hansen Desert Hills, 6500 E. Bell Road in Scottsdale.
