In loving memory of

Emilienne Yvonne Salisz

Emilienne Yvonne Salisz, 27, passed unexpectedly on September 25, 2017. Beloved by many, she is survived by her son Alphonse, sister Elyse, and parents Dolores and Albert Salisz.

Growing up in Phoenix, AZ, Emmie was very active from a young age, playing soccer and participating in competitive gymnastics. She also loved to ski and attempt to fish with her family in Pinetop. Along with her family, Emmie spent summers in Michigan and Rhode Island visiting her grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins.

An avid lover of the arts, Emmie dedicated most of her life to ballet, piano, painting, and poetry. As a performing artist, she demonstrated her passion with local dance companies with a diverse repertoire that included a yearly Nutcracker for Ballet & Friends, as well as a couple summers in San Francisco as a student with the Alonzo King Lines Ballet.

After graduating from Veritas Preparatory Academy, and many exhausting months of auditioning across the US, Emmie selected the Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College in White Plains, New York, to pursue ballet. This exposed her to the big city of New York, the other side of the US and four seasons. One of which included snow. She returned to Phoenix during her second year, where she continued dancing with a local modern dance company, while taking classes at PV Community College and Scottsdale Community college. Recently, she had taken her attention to detail in another more technical direction that involved data quality of Account records in the Salesforce CRM application.

In January of 2012, Emmie gave birth to her son, Alphonse. A doting and caring mother, she strove to emulate her own childhood for him, constantly taking him to the Butterfly Museum, Arizona Science Center and the Children's Museum. They regularly went to the local parks to play on the slides. She also shared her love of reading and art with him.

Family and friends are welcome to celebrate Emmie's life.
A visitation will take place Sunday, October 1st from 5 - 8pm at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary, 6500 East Bell Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85254,

A funeral service will be held Monday, October 2nd at 11am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 11300 North 64th Street, Scottsdale, AZ 85254. A reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a memorial college fund for her son, Alphonse Lyons, at any Desert Schools Federal Credit Union branch in the Phoenix area or an online contribution at www.gofundme.com/memorial-college-fund.

"I just saw this, and I'm so sorry... Uunfortunately, the dysfunctional Uncle Joe Kline side of the Kline family was distant to his sister Helen, and my parents James & Cynthia Kline lost contact with Al & Deplores in the late 1980's. I remember you as a child years ago (1990-1994) at your Aunt Helen & Uncle Joe's in Petoskey, MI when I would stop and visit Aunt Helen & Uncle Andy to say hi periodically before I graduated Petoskey High School in June 1994, and went on to Saginaw Valley State University that fall. I will continue to pray for a positive future for your family - son. I understand that creepy things happen to us all especially in the world we live in, but I'm truly shocked at this horrible loss."
