"Ted, or should I say Theopolus J Betts, as I had often called you on the distant past, you shared a legacy of many good times and memories with many friends - whether it be the 'Survivor Parties' to celebrate the post-arrival of New Years or the weekly get together at TGI Fridays, or our poker parties that celebrated with a bottle of XO and then we resorted to Chivas once the XO was gone. Your quirky ways became endearing to so many people. May you be surrounded by and comforted by many a Paddington Bear that passed before you. Thank you for the memories that you have shared with so many of us. You will be greatly missed, and remembered. Friend, rest in peace."
"I've known Ted for over 30 years. Most of the time from afar, but as kindred spirits and of the same age, I loved his brilliance, humor and much more. His loss is tremendous for me, but pales in comparison to yours. We share some of your pain, but please know we are here for you now and always as people touched by the Ted Betts experience!"
"For Marty and Myself this was quite sudden and had an unexpected outcome. Ted was a good man that cared very much for my sister. Over the years I learned to value Ted`s thoughts and humor, he will be missed."
"I will miss joking around with you like we did. I will always remember your patience with Victor and those darn bricks and the way you held Jessie as if she was delicate glass. You are a great man and will be dearly missed."
"You are at home at last. Peace be with you and I know you will be missed here on earth."
