Nora E. Meador
Nora of Phoenix, AZ passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017, just prior to her 79th birthday. She passed away at Sherman Home of Lymphoma and a pulmonary edema.
She was born in Des Moines, IA to her parents Russell and Hazel Matheson. Des Moines is where she married and had her children. The family moved to Fridley, MN for a few years and then to the Phoenix, AZ area about 40 years ago.
Nora worked for Pinnacle West the majority of her working career and retired after several years working out at the Palo Verde Nuclear Plant.
She took pride in taking care of her family and communicating with her friends from church, work and neighbors. She loved animals especially hummingbirds and cats; loved mystery novels, word search books and "Manchester United".
Nora was so looking forward to seeing her 1st Great-grandchild who is due the end of March/beginning of April and going to see her Great-nephew get married in September of this year.
She was an active church member at Community of Christ where she held the office of Teacher. As all those who knew her she gave great hugs.
She is survived by: her Husband of 60 years - Arthur Keith Meador of Phoenix; Children: Rhonda Meador of Chandler, AZ, Stewart Meador of Glendale, AZ, Brian Meador of Phoenix, AZ; Grandchildren: Connor McKenna of Prescott, AZ, Jacob Meador of Pierson, IA, Kristen Meador of Glendale, AZ; Brother - A.R. Matheson of Des Moines, IA; Sister - Darlene Harper of Middleboro, MA.
She was preceded by: Daughter Melissa Meador; Father Russell Matheson; Mother Hazel Matheson; and Grandson Alec Meador.
