In loving memory of

John C. Tucker

John C. Tucker of Scottsdale, AZ, passed in peace to the everlasting joy and reward of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 3, 2016, after an amazingly courageous fight against cancer. He was surrounded and supported every moment of his illness and at the time of his passing by his adoring children and their spouses, and two of his loving friends.

John was born the youngest of three children on October 11, 1941, in Denison, Iowa, to parents William "Bryce" Tucker and Edna Tucker. He attended Simpson College on a basketball scholarship where he studied finance and economics and throughout his career served in CFO, CEO, President, and Chairman positions with local, national, and international companies. Since retiring, John has enjoyed working as an inventor and as an associate at Home Depot.

His happy heart and optimistic attitude were contagious, and his kind, thoughtful, and generous way with people truly made him a gift to this world. Countless people have declared these words to his grieving family: "I can honestly say that I'm a better person having known John Tucker." His genuine belief in people and the inspired encouragement that he poured into others caused those of us who know and love him to walk a more joyful, hopeful, and fruitful life. John is survived by his three children: John Jr, Trisha, and Chase; and his granddaughter Rowan "Tess", as well as his sister Joan and brother Jim. Services will be held at Hansen Desert Hills, Sunday, December 11 at 10:30am. 6500 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85254.

A light lunch reception will follow the service at residence: 4632 E. Villa Maria Drive Phoenix, AZ 85032. In lieu of flowers donations to Mission Teen, Teen Challenge or the charity of your choice can be made in John's honor.

"Although I knew and worked with John for only 2 1/2 years he became a good friend and mentor. He also often prayed for my wife Pam during her battle with cancer and graciously prayed for the Lord's support for us both. The last time I spoke with John was 6 weeks ago during his health battle, and he prayed for Pam's total health. That was John, constantly giving his prayers and gentle encouragement to all he met. It has been my honor and privilege to have known and worked with him. He is now working again as one of the Lord's angels from heaven."

"It is hard to express the blessing that John was to me and my family. His generosity and kindness taught me important lessons about the love and care of God during challenging times in my life. John?s positive attitude, which constantly expressed trust in the Lord, moved my heart. Sometimes I thought he was naïve in his childlike faith. Then I would realize that I longed to see life through John?s eyes of faith. I am sorry I was not able to say goodbye, though I am grateful that we will catch up on everything a bit later. May God?s comfort sustain all of us who are John?s friends and family. Love you, John, Trisha, Chase, and Bonnie. Mike"

His children and grandchildren are bright stars and love him in ways that further ensure his continued presence among us here in this life. May our Loving God sustain them and all of us who were blessed by having known John and been loved by him. You will be missed, old friend, but we know that heaven is a little warmer because of your addition to its membership."
