Theodora Johnson

Theodora Hager Johnson, 100, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away April 4, 2016 with her Nephew and Niece, Ron and Bonnie Burke by her side.  Theodora was born on January 2nd, 1916 in Peoria, Illinois to Rinaldo and Estella (Parks) Moresi. She married Ralph J. Hager on March 30, 1950. Ralph passed away on November 21, 1962. She married William L. Johnson on May 8, 1969. William passed away January 10, 2008. She is preceded in death by her Sister, Frances Burke, and Brothers Augustine and Charles Moresi. Teddy was an avid golfer and a member of the Phoenix Country Club. She was a women's aviator and flew twice in the Cross Country Powder Puff Derby and was a member of the Mach Buster's Club, flying in a F100 Super Sabre. She was a member of the A-Z Horse Show Auxiliary and the Carousel Horse Show Auxiliary. She was also a member DAR National Society of the US, Daughters of 1812, Colonial Dames XVII Century, the Associated Daughters of the Early American Witches and the National Society of Women's Descendants of the Ancient, Honorable Artillery Company. Everyone who knew her will always cherish fond memories. Memmorial contributions to the Children's Home Association, 2130 N. Knoxville Avenue, Peoria, IL  61603-9990. There will be a private celebration of her life at El Chorro Lodge.

"There was only ONE Teddy !! We celebrated many parties and years together. Have many wonderful memories of all the fun and crazy times. Loved the Mummy Mtn. house, Derby parties, etc. We traveled together as well. Would very much like to be at El Chorro for the \"Celebration of Teddy\'s life\" It was there, I was the MC for her surprise 75th Birthday Party....good choice!!! Thank You."

"I speak for the entire Suzanne P.\'s family by saying how VERY special Teddy was to all of us but especially our Mom who has passed. Teddy was a character to say the least. She is prayed for! We would love to attend the celebration of life at El Charro."
