"Dear Peggy, Wendy, Stephanie and Tony, I was so sad to hear about Lanny, he was a amazing father, husband and trainer. I\'m so sorry for your loss. He will be missed by all who knew him."
"When someone you love goes home to god, We know there in a better place - Rest in peace my Big Brother say Hi to mom for me... Love and forever miss you your little brother Terry"
"So sorry for your loss. To define Lanny Sharp - A goodhearted man who dearly loved his family. He had a good sense of humor. He never knew a stranger. When someone was down and out, having hard times, instead of a handout, he gave a person a hand up. He understood that in life. He also believed in you and gave you a chance. He was a sure enough good horseman who actually loved the horses he handled. He strived to give his runners the best of care and training. He knew that the best prepared horse was a good way to beat the better bred ones. He,s the only trainer I know who built his own stalls when he needed more. He will be missed everywhere."
"So very sorry for your loss. Our hearts go out to the family."
"My heart breaks for the four of you. I wish I could be there to help support and comfort you at this time. I will be thinking of you today, I love and miss you."
"Wendy, Stephanie & Greg, Tony & Catharina, Nick, Christian, Cordeilia & Elias no words can express how sorry we are for your loss of Uncle Lanny. He was a saint for all that he has done for your mom and your family. Have comfort knowing that he is looking down on you and will continue to live on in your memories. We wish that we could be there with you. Love Kim and Sean"
"The loss of my dad is still too new to fully express how I feel about it. I love him very much. He was a no nonsense man who taught me many life lessons. I hope there are some things that I will take from the time a got to spend with him like his compassion and his smarts. I was very lucky to have him as a father. I will always feel blessed for that."
"Lanny and I have been associated for 40 years as in horse partnerships, training partnerships, neighbors and just plain old friends. He was a man of the highest integrity and his care and devotion to Peggy prior to and especially after her fall is beyond any thing we have ever known. To his children we say your father was \"the best.\" You and your mother have our prayers and compassion. Gods speed Lanny. Yours friends, Bill & Joyce"
"Peg,Wendy, Steph andTony. Words aren\'t much at a time like this, but my thoughts, prayers and love are with you. Your father was truly blessed with the fineness human qualities a person could ask for. He gave you so much to be proud of. So many of us are so fortunate to have shared part of our life with him. He will be so missed. What a CLASS MAN."
"So Sorry for your loss. God Bless! The Munsell Family"
"I am very sorry to hear of Lannys passing. He was a fine horseman and an even finer man. His devotion to wife Peggy after her accident was both inspiring and touching and revealed the great character and quality of the man he was. His talents as a horseman were surpassed by few if any. He won some huge stakes races over the years at major tracks and usually as a long shot. Lanny never boasted or spoke of his accomplishments but he had a wealth of memorable anecdotes and stories to share about his years as a horseman and his travels to different race tracks. I will always remember Lanny as one of the finest men I knew."
"Wendy, Stephanie and Tony. We are so sorry to hear about your Dad. You are always in our thoughts and prayers Frankie, Meghan and Terri"
