"To Dale\'s family and my very dear freind, Donna, Dale\'s sister. It has been many years since I had seen Dale playing softball on Paul\'s team with my husband. But, I will remember him always as a sweet spirited guy. Denny and I were very fond of Dale."

"Dear Laura and family, We learned of Dale\'s transfer to Heaven when brother Don called last week. We are sorry for your grief and great loss. From everything we have heard, Dale has been a wonderful husband and father and the two of you have done so much for so many children! We are grateful for the great years you had together and especially for the work our Savior has done for him so that Dale is able to enjoy the pain-free peace, joy, and bliss of heaven face to face with Jesus! God grant you the strength to carry on with manhy good memories and with the hope of a grand reunion in heaven! Love, Pastor John and Esther Huebner"

"Dale, With much sadness, I found out about your passing last night. Just the other day I was thinking about our days in Elkhorn and the fun we had on the basketball team and what a good friend you always were to me. What a great life you and Laura shared together and what great accomplishments you have made AE! (After Elkhorn). It seems just like yesterday Gilks, Petes, you and I played a little \"ball\" in the desert and you hadn\'t lost a thing. Go Birdman! (for those who didn\'t know, we called him Birdman as he not only had a slight resemblence to the Basketball Great, but also had a game to go with it. I remmeber my Senior year in HS and ended up in the hospital for a couple nights and listened to the Elkhorn/Waterford game on the radio in my room. Who shined that night, but Dale! It was a close game which I think we won by a point or two and Dale was the star that night. Though, I don\'t recall meeting your kids, I hope they can remember the \"good times\" in this time of sadness and all I can say is God has one of the \"Good Guys\" at his side now. See you soon my friend! Cons."

"I love you my dear brother. This has been too difficult for words to simply describe. Your strength, heart, love, and compassion for your family and friends is truly heroic. I want to thank you for traveling the long, hard road back to Wisconsin to see your family. I simply cannot express my gratitude, not only for myself, but for Ben, Fiona, and Aubrey. Thank you Laura for your care and endless love for my brother, without you, he would have been lost forever. I love you Laura, Natasha, Brooke, Aaron, Andrew, Ryder and Eric."

"Tasha - Words seem inadequate to express the sadness I feel for you and your family. I pray the love and support of your family and friends around you will help give you the courage to face the days ahead. May time heal the pain and the memories of the times you shared heal the heart. You are in my thoughts and prayers."

"Dale, I\'ve known you since kindergarten. We went to the same church. Played on the same basketball teams. Heck, we even ended up in the same Arizona desert. My one regret is that we didn\'t hang out more down here. You have accomplished great things and are much loved and admired. Godspeed, Dale Dave"
