"Dirk, I thought that I had posted a message earlier, but don\'t see it here, so I will post again. I worked with your Dad at APS for many years. He was a wonderful man - very kind and with a great sense of humor. He always spoke so proudly of you. Herb will be missed. Cindy Slick"
"Herb was a wonderful guy. While I didn\'t deal with him at work for APS I did know him from the APS Golf Club. He loved the game. We played in the same group a few times. I remember one round at Aguila, on one hole he hit a good shot, then followed it up with a duff into a tree. He said \"I hate it when that happens.\" I could sure relate to that and joked with him about being my style of play also. In that round he hit a couple of great shots into par 3\'s and I think he got the \"closest to the pin\" award on one or two of them. That made him so happy. I hope you can celebrate his life and gain strength and comfort from one another, reminiscing about Herb."
"Herb was an advocate for the AIA and always had a cheerful and infectious smile. He made his moments in this life count and his presence will be missed."
