Pearl A. Hodges (Peeps), 89, resident of Scottsdale Arizona since 1953, previously of Center Lovell Maine, died Christmas Morning, December 25, 2013 at Beatitudes Campus of Care. Peeps was the mother of 5 and devoted her life to loving and raising her family. Always comfortable in any social setting and of quick wit and humor. Born January 22, 1924 as Pearl Leona Allen in Bethel, Maine, she was the daughter of Theodore and Louise Ballard Allen. She attended Fryeburg Academy, class of 1942. On November 5, 1943, at age 19 she married William J. Hodges in Lovell, Maine. Peeps and Bill moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1953 where Bill became the first General Manager of Paradise Valley Country Club. Bill predeceased Peeps by 24 years. Her youngest son, Frank W. Hodges "Buzz" predeceased Peeps in 1990. Survivors include Daughter and Son-in-law Betsy H. and Norm Storey of Phoenix, Arizona; Son and daughter-in-law William J. and Sheri Hodges of Scottsdale, Arizona; Daughter Nancy H. Brown of Scottsdale, Arizona; Son Theodore S. Hodges of Gilbert, Arizona and Daughter-in-law Cheri Hodges of Scottsdale, Arizona. Also 8 grandchildren: Tim Storey, Kevin Storey, Christi Hodges Porter, Brent Hodges, Brandon Brown, Tracee Brown Studdert, Sara Hodges and Ryan Hodges and 10 great grandchildren. Peeps was predeceased by brothers Theodore Allen Jr. and Earl E. Allen Sr. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, December 30, 2013 at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary, 6500 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85254. Memorial Donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E.
