William "Bill" Brent Poole, 82, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on January 9, 2013. He was born in Ogden, Utah, the son of William J and Emma (Dye) Poole. He is survived by his wife Joy (Fender), his sister Joyce (Poole) Gill, daughter Laurel (Scott) Crimm, sons Warren (Liz) Poole and Keith (Susanne) Poole and 7 grandchildren. Bill graduated from Utah State University in 1952 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Bill served with the US Army in the Corps of Engineers and was stationed at Ft. Belvoir, VA and in Korea during the Korean War. He was an avid HAM Radio Operator [W7LXX-AJ7C], receiving his original operating license when he was only 16 years old. Bill was an aviation enthusiast flying his Cessna in his young adult years and he scanned aviation radio traffic his whole life. Bill also had a keen interest in photography. Funeral service will be held Saturday January 12 at 12:00 noon with visitation from 10am to noon at Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N. 7th St .
