"He had a smile that could change your day and a sense of humor that bewitched those around him. He was a man who always kept you guessing and lived his life fearlessly. He was a good man at his core and a man who loved his friends and his family fiercely. We were all lucky to know him for the time that we did and to have him in our lives. His memory lives on in all who knew him because a man like Donny can never be forgotten. My heart goes out to you all in this time of grief. I am so sorry for your loss."

"Our thoughts and prayers join with those of others at this time. We have such good memories of Donny who was a tried and true friend of our son Thomas. Donny always dropped by to say hi when he was able to come back and visit friends in Bremerton. Always a gentleman and someone to be proud of as a friend, son, relative. God bless him, and you."

"We are so sorry to hear about your heartbreaking loss of Donny. Although we can’t imagine the grief you must be feeling, we hope you can find solace in the hope of seeing him again (John 5:28, 29 and Revelation 21:4). God knows our pain and keeps track of our tears as if collecting them in a bottle (Psalms 56:8). Our condolences."

"Even though I did not get a chance to meet Donny, Matthew spoke very highly of him. Matt was a buddy of his in Germany and were in the same unit there. Matt is in Afghanistan now, but if he were in the states I am sure he would be at the funeral. He sends his condolences to all his family and friends. Thanks to you all for allowing him to be a good friend to my son Matt and may God be with you all and comfort you in the days, weeks, months and years ahead. Be sure to remember all the ways he touched your lives."
