"Mark called me last Friday and told me Pam was in the hospital. I checked the Arisona Republic Obituaries and learned of her passing. I am so sorry and I send my Deepest Sympathy to all. I am here in Fallbrook,CA so will not be able to attend the service. She was very special to me. Loved it whenever we could get together when her Mom and Dad (who were our very dearest friends) would invite us to share dinners or visits with them. Also loved visiting with Pam on the telephone. She will be missed. Will get in touch with you when I return to Az. Love, Cleo"

"Dear Arthur, I was so sad for you and yet happy for Pam. I am happy that she won’t need to suffer more and sad that you will be alone. Know that I love and appreciate you as I have through the years. I am so sorry I won’t be in town for the funeral. I leave tomorrow for a visit with Janette and her family while the temple is closed. I hope you might be able to come back and serve with us there again. You are missed and loved. My prayers are with you. John"
