"Scott grew up in the 8th Ward. His parents were good friends with Ann and R.C. When Scott and I got married, it was fun for me to have a second cousin in Phoenix. My dad is Doyle Carlson, Vic and Leona’s son. It was exciting to have such a gracious, well-liked relative when we moved to Phoenix after attending BYU. I was in Lynn’s ward at BYU. She carries on her mother’s talents and graces. Love, Scott and Laura"
