"I knew and worked with Fred at Armour-Dial. It was my first professional position and Fred seemed bigger than life to me. He was so positive, energetic and I always felt good about myself being in his presence. I am sad today learning of his death. I was not a close friend by any means. However, I had an opportunity to have dinner with Fred in Laguna Beach along with my friend who knew Fred very well and it was a special evening. My sincere sympathy is with his family at this time. Fred was a unique and talented man and I wanted to personally let his family know from someone who knew him over 30 years ago that he was special even then. I knew him as a young man on his way to bigger and better things but he always treated me with respect and warmth. I am a better person having known Fred Rentschler. May God bless him and his family at this time. Sincerely, Elaine Hindman Reilly"
