Nicolo Li Greci

Li Greci, Nicolo (Nick) 81, of Scottsdale passed away Thursday, June 17, 2010. Nicolo (Nick) Li Greci was born on December 25th, 1928, in Agira, Sicily, Italy, to Carmelo and Graziella Li Greci. Nick married Concetta Milazzo on October 20th, 1951, and was the loving father of Grace and Sam Li Greci. Nick and Concetta immigrated to Chicago in 1955, and later to Phoenix in 1972. He always had a smile and a laugh for everyone. Above all, Nick was a very devoted family man, loving husband, father, and grandfather, who always enjoyed spending time, sharing stories, and enjoying great Italian food and wine with family, as well as friends. He was very proud of his grandchildren, Ryan and Concetta, who loved spending time with him and will deeply miss their "Papa." He was proudly Sicilian-American and loved gardening and growing vegetables, fishing, dancing, and playing cards. Survivors include his daughter Grace Murphy and husband Mike, and grandchildren Ryan and Concetta Murphy of Gilbert; brothers Giuseppe Li Greci of Phoenix, and Mariano Li Greci of Roubaix, France. Visitation will be 6-9 pm, Wednesday, June 23, 2010, Rosary at 7:30 pm at Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N. 7th St. Mass will be at 10 am, Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 8420 N. 7th St. Entombment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St. To send online condolences for family, please visit www.hansenmortuary.

"Grace & Mike my deepest sympathy to you and your family. We rember your Mom & Dad when we would visit them in Arizona. They were both wonderful people, very generous, friendly & with great hospitality. They shared a lot of good times with my parents Lorenzo & Melina Geraci ,when they were in Chicago & then in Arizona. Again my deepest sympathy. Jack & Nicolina Alfonso"
