Donna M. Browner-Planeta, 68 of Whitmore Lake, MI, formerly of Phoenix, passed away on April 9, 2010. She was born November 19, 1941 in Chicago, IL the daughter of John and Rosemary Owens. Donna married Andrew J. Planeta and he precedes her in death. Donna retired from the City of Phoenix as an executive secretary. She is a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Survivors include her children: Christopher Browner of Edwardsville, IL, Richard Browner of Phoenix, AZ, Jennifer Browner of Whitmore Lake, MI and Samantha Negri of Whitmore Lake, MI; six grandchildren and her brother Richard Owens of Chicago, IL. In addition to her husband her brother Fr. Thomas Owens and sister Jayne Hotton preceded her in death. Visitation will be 4 - 7 pm, Sunday, April 18, 2010 with Rosary at 6:30 at Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N. 7th St. Mass will be at 10 am Monday at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 10815 N. 35th Avenue. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 10045 W. Thomas Road. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Jerome

"Rich, My sympathy to you at this time of loss. You are being held in prayer here at BCHS. Having been there, done that, I know how hard this time is. Hold fast to the memories and share the stories. These are the tools of healing. Above all else, give yourself the permission to cry and the time to heal.
