"Joe and I were stationed at Fort Jackson when we were in the army years ago and used to travel home together for a 3 day pass. Had alot of trips I still remember and wondered how we did it. I have made a good many trips to Az as my daughter lives in Glendale on W. Golden Ave. If I had known Joe was there I would have gotten in touch. My thoughts are with you at this time. Jack Culver"

"Dear Betty Lou, Please accept our heart felt sympathy at your deep loss. We didn’t know Joe very well, but he seemed like such a great guy. You may not remember us, but Darlene and Bud are family to us. Darlene and I are like sisters and Kenny and Darlene are cousins. We met up at their house when you were here with your motorhome. Please know your are in our hearts and prayers. Ken and Linda"
