Charles W. Washburn 85, of Phoenix Arizona passed away on Tuesday morning October 20, 2009 in Beaverton Oregon. Charles was born in Chandler Arizona to Cordelia (Sitzer) (d.) and Blaine Washburn (d.) on April 27, 1924. He lived most of his life in Arizona. A simple wedding ceremony initiated a magnificent 64 year marriage to the late Kathleen (Vaughn) Washburn. Upon graduation from high school, Charles joined the Army Air Corps, where he served as a flight engineer on B-17
