In loving memory of

Dorothy Noble

Dorothy "Joan" Noble of Phoenix, Arizona passed peacefully from this earth on February 1, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Joan was born in L'Anse, Michigan on April 13, 1941. She moved to Phoenix in 1955 and spent her working career employed at US West as a manager in the Design Services department. She retired in 1989 to travel with her husband, Jack. Joan was known to all for her kind and generous spirit. She will be fondly remembered as a wonderful hostess and tour guide for the many family and friends who visited Phoenix. Joan is survived by stepdaughter, Valerie (Duke) Gallagher of San Clemente, CA, stepson David (Connie) Noble of Ontario Canada, her sister, Marilyn Mayville of Escanaba, MI, her dog Willy, special friends Beverly Oren and Sylvia Bernardi and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd "Jack" Noble, parents Lavinia and Harry Perrault, sisters Lois and Rosabelle and brothers Mark, Francis, and John. Lloyd "Jack" Noble passed away on Dec 21, 2010. He was born in Eliza, IL, Aug. 17, 1923. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he dedicated his life to managing the family farm. Known to all the local farmers and neighbors there, he was deeply respected and loved. He lived by the philosophy that if he did something nice for someone every day, he could make this a better world and he lived by that philosophy into his retirement until his recent illness beset him. The family would like to invite friends to celebrate the lives of both Jack and Joan on Sunday March 18th at the North Mountain Visitor Center (12950 North 7th Street, Phoenix, AZ) from 10AM to 2PM. In lieu of flowers, please bring a memory or fun story to share with the family.
