Donald Intermill
October 3, 1948 - January 9, 2020

Donald Paul Intermill was born October 3, 1948, in Buffalo Center, son of John Lermond and Leone (Recker) Intermill. He attended school in Titonka graduating from Titonka High School in 1967. After high school he proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He entered the Navy in March of 1968 and was honorably discharged in December of 1971.

Donald was very proud of serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a very active member of the Whittemore American Legion. Donald worked for Winnebago in Forest City and he also helped neighboring farmers with field work. He enjoyed skydiving, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, mowing the Titonka campgrounds, watching high school sporting events, and spending time with friends and family. Donald really enjoyed riding his motorcycle and had made 40 consecutive trips to Sturgis before his health started to decline.

Donald died Thursday, January 9, 2020, at his home in Titonka. He was 71.

Donald is survived by his nieces Cheryl Ball, Tracy, and Chris; nephews, David Barton, Robert Barton, and Greg Cutler; great-niece, Grace Ball; cousins, Karen (Ron) Folkerts, Bob (Judy) Van Hove, Phyllis (Don) Nelson, and Debbie (Ken) Spear; long lifetime buddy, Roger Akkerman; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Janice (Ronald) Barton.
