Randy Hicks

Randy Hicks, 64, of Oskaloosa, Iowa passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 1, 2020. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Randy was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa on July 14, 1955 to Nolan and Wilma (Braden) Hicks. He grew up in New Sharon and attended North Mahaska High School graduating with the class of 1973. He then went to college and began raising his family. He decided to go to Masonry School and became a brick layer. In 1980, Randy and his family moved to Tulsa and he later began his own construction company. Randy retired in 2003 and moved back to Oskaloosa. He was a hard worker that enjoyed working. He also enjoyed woodworking.

Those left to remember Randy are his children Jennifer Peters, Jodi (Scott) Barr, Dr. Josh (Dr. Jessica) Hicks, and Colton Hicks; grandchildren Dylan, Jacob, Alex, Aubrey, Peyton, Braden, Noah, Annika, Blaise, and Harrison; great-grandchild Wyatt; sister Susan (Jim) Stursma; nieces Dawn (Paul) Hammock, and Jami Schares.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Jeremiah Hicks; brother Terry Hicks; and niece Shawna Hicks.

Celebrate Life Iowa has been entrusted with Randy's cremation care.
