Delores Deitchler, 92 of Glenwood, IA, passed away December 29, 2019 at the Glen Haven Village in Glenwood. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at St. John Lutheran Church in Mineola, IA. Burial will be in the Mineola Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2020 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood.

Delores Boehm (Heitman) Deitchler, of Glenwood, IA, passed away December 29, 2019 at the Glen Haven Village in Glenwood at the age of 92 years, 3 months, and 28 days.
Delores was born on September 1, 1927 on a farm in Pottawattamie County, Iowa, one of three children of Karl and Hedwig (Boehm) Heitman. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa in 1944.
Delores and LaVerne William Deitchler were united in marriage on May 1, 1946 at a country church in Dumfries, Iowa. Their marriage was blessed with four children, James LaVerne, Janet Anne, Nancy Sue, and John Charles.
Delores was a faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church in Mineola, Iowa. She was a busy homemaker and wife. Among her enjoyments were sewing and crocheting, tending to her flowers, watching birds, playing cards, and watching horse races. Delores loved spending time with her family and friends.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband LaVerne in 2011; and her brothers, Warren Heitman, and Charles Heitman, Jr.
Delores is survived by her children, Jim Deitchler and wife Marcia, Janet Yezek and husband Dave, Nancy O'Rourke and husband Larry, and John Deitchler and wife Karen, all of Glenwood; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren (with 2 more due in January 2020); and other relatives and friends.
