Olga Yolanda (Tavares) Sanchez was born July 5, 1948 in Piedras Negras, Mexico. She was the daughter of Manual and Virginia (Medrano) Tavares. She was the third oldest of their eight children. She grew up in Piedras Negras and attended school there.
Olga was united in marriage to Rodolfo Sanchez in July of 1967 in Piedras Negras, Mexico. They relocated to Texas in 1967 then moved to Iowa in 1998. Olga enjoyed dancing, listening to music and cooking. She loved spending time with her family and always stayed in touch with them no matter where they lived. Olga was very kindhearted and had love for everyone.
Olga Sanchez died Monday, October 14, 2019, at her home in Rake. She was 71.
Olga is survived by her husband Rodolfo of Rake; children, Robert (Eunice) Sanchez of Dallas, Texas, Diana Sanchez of Rake, Brenda Sanchez of Buffalo Center, Juanita (Juan) Loredo of Rake, and Omar Sanchez of Rake; grandchildren, Ashley (Terrance) Miles, Yvette Sanchez, Robert Sanchez, Alex I Sanchez, and Rudy Guzman; Blanca Crystal Galvan, David Daniel Galvan, Oscar Leonard Galvan, and Rodymar Ricky Galvan; Rodolfo Sanchez, Angel Gutierrez, and Martin "Bebo" Flores Jr.; Ramiro Tiverio Resendiz, and Juanice Imme Loredo; Omar Sanchez, Titiana Sanchez and Amaya Sanchez; Lil' Rudy Sanchez and Selena Marie Sanchez; great-grandchildren, Tristian Miles, Kiana Fae Galvan, Ivan Jae Guzman and Ruben Mateo Guzman; Blake Alexander Knight and Ariana Estrella Galvan; Luciano Sanchez and and Gutierrez and Liana Gutierrez; sisters, Rosa Tavares and Luz Maria Moya; brother, Manuel Tavares; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Manual and Virginia Tavares; son, Rudy Sanchez Jr.; granddaughter, Yanick Rubi Pena; sisters, Petra Jaramillo, Mariade Jesus Carasco, and Bertha Tavares; and brother, Pedro Tavares.
