"I met Eric more than 25 years ago. From the day I met him I knew he was a shrewd businessman. At that time I thought I knew it all about the business we were doing together. I was wrong and Eric quickly humbled me. However, he saw something in me that I didn't. He continued to believe in me and mentor me -- and for that I am forever grateful.
I spoke to Eric almost every day -- three or more times a day. He was funny, smart and tough. The last words he spoke to me were, "take care of Job Corps." Given all that was going on with his decline in health, he still thought about work. A testament to his character.
He cared deeply for those around him. Eric was a loyal friend and I will miss him. May peace be with you my friend."

"I worked with Eric years ago in San Marcos. He was brilliant and funny. So sad he was taken so young, His family is in my prayers."
