In loving memory of

Bob Keel
July 6, 1952 - September 30, 2019

Bob Dwyte Keel, 67 of Garrison, Iowa passed away at his home in Garrison, Iowa with his , Robyn at his side September 30th, 2019.
Bob is survived by his wife of 22 wonderful years, Robyn Keel and 4 children and their families. Kirsten Leonard and granddaughter Passion Barkdoll of Cedar Rapids, IA, Jessie Dominick and granddaughters Geordyn Webster and Justyce Dominick of Garrison, IA, Melissa Allen and family and Stephen Keel and family. Sisters: Betty Gail Agee, Sharon Kennedy and Tommi Coker. There are many other amazing family members and friends who he loved so much and thought of often. He was a friend to so many and always looked forward to seeing them again.
Bob was born in Birmingham, AL to Thomas and Ruby Keel on July 6th, 1952. His grandparents were a huge part of his life as he was growing up, as well as his aunts, uncles and cousins.
Bob was retired but had always been an incredibly hard worker. He was a mechanic with his own shop, he owned a towing business which he loved, he drove truck over the road for many years, owning his own trucks. He worked as a tire changer for different companies and help build many of the major highways in and out of Birmingham, AL.
He also was an avid designer of quilts, always going with his wife to entertain the customers at the fabric stores as well as picking out so many fabrics to make beautiful quilts. There really wasn't anything Bob didn't know how to do or wasn't willing to tackle.
He loved his pets, Bear, Lucy, Zoey, Rosie, Beau, Quasimoto, and Sammi. He loved fishing with the family, he loved his new to him "chick magnet" as he called it, a VW Beetle, he loved his boats, but most of all he loved his family. He was so proud of Jessie and Kirsten and granddaughters and the successes they have had in their lives. He was always in their corner and always cheering them on.

From Robyn:
I would go to the ends of the earth to make Bob Keel's life the best it could be. My love for him knows no bounds. In life, as in death I tried to show him honor and respect. So to honor him, there will be no funeral and no service, that was Bob's wish. He had a reason for wanting it that way.
If someone was going to remember him, he wanted it to be a fond, happy memory that made you and him smile. Above all else, Bob tried to make everyone's day a little better for having crossed paths with him. So rather than grieve his death and be sad, he wanted everyone's last memory to be happy, so think of a way he made you smile and that is what he would want.
Thank you being his friend. Love to you from both of us! We are and always will be a team. We were like socks and shoes or peas and carrots, always together and always in love.

May the Lord bless and keep all of you in the palm of his hand until we meet again.

"First memory o hAve of bob was at mom and dads house, I don?t know if you guys were married yet or dating but he was over and i was leaving to take the boat out skiing. (Iirc I was about 17 or 18). He reached in his wallet and handed me a 20 dollar bill. Here we are some guy I didn?t know at all giving me gas money for skiing. At that point in my life that was 3.5 hours of work lol. That memory stuck with me, reminds me its good to give with nothing expected in return wether it?s money time or love. Very sorry for your loss, I?m sure he?s up in heaven wrenching away on something he has plans for."

"Bob loved his family and we loved him. He had a beautiful smile and awesome laugh. When we got together his hugs made you feel missed and welcome. He made sure we stayed in contact and shared memories throughout our life. Without him I am not sure we would have ever had the reunions. It is not surprising that his last wish was that we remember a good time spent with him. I have been remembering many. Love ya Bob and you will be missed, your cousin Wanda."
