Carol Matiel Jensen, age 81, the daughter of Richard W. and Dorothy M. (Warwick) Lindmier, was born January 4, 1938 in Omaha, Nebraska. She passed away October 1, 2019 In Omaha, Nebraska.
Carol graduated from Benson High School and went on to enlist in the United States Navy in the WAVES unit (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service) and was stationed at the Norfolk Naval Station in Norfolk, Virginia for four years from 1956 to 1960. After her service in the Navy, she moved back to Omaha, Nebraska. Carol was united in marriage to Roger Jensen in 1961 and fulfilled her time making a home for her loving family.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents: Richard and Dorothy Lindmier; infant brother, Norman Richard Lindmier; loving husband, Roger Jensen; brother-in-law, Richard Brannum. She is survived by her children: Russ Jensen (Barb), Terry Jensen (Debbie), June Gauhari; grandchildren: Kyle Jensen, Cortnie Kotecki (Kyle), Payton Jensen, Jennifer Gauhari, Bradley Gauhari; great-grandchild, Harper Kotecki; sister, Suzy Brannum; brother, Dick Lindmier (Cathy) other relatives and friends.
Services will be 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Saint Michael Lutheran Church, 13232 Blondo Street. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at Saint Michael Lutheran Church. Burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Military Honors.
