Arlene M. Brunning, 79, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away on Thursday evening, September 12, 2019, at the Good Samaritan Society in Davenport, Iowa.
A natural farewell with Cremation has taken place. A private burial will be held at the Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Spragueville, Iowa. The Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa is caring for the family.
Arlene Engel was born on September 9, 1940 in Jackson County, Iowa, to Arthur and Dorothy (Eckelberg) Engel. She was a Maquoketa High School graduate. She married Edward Brunning on July 2, 1962. They later divorced in 1973.
Arlene had worked various jobs throughout the years including working at Jackson State Bank, Super 8 Motel, Crestridge Nursing Home, and Pacific Coast Feather Company. She had also delivered the Quad City Times Newspaper.
Those left to honor her memory include her children, Barbara Paulsen of Maquoketa, IA, Kevin Brunning of Miles and Cheryl Strazza of New Milford, CT; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
