"I am so sorry to learn of Larkin?s passing. Please accept our condolences. My sister and I were just talking about him after we heard El Patio is closing. I?ve known him since I was a small child as he was friends with my mom, Katherine Argo Berka, and aunt June Argo Lints, as well as JoEllen Plumley, Geneva Proske and Miss Johnson. I remember what a hard time they gave Larkin when his hair began turning silver. Poor guy. He was always so friendly and fun! I?m sorry we hadn?t kept in touch after my mom passed in 2001."

"I am a member of NARFE in Fredericksburg and Al Prewitt has been a friend of mine for many years. He came to Fredericksburg many times to install our new chapter officers and was always so much fun to be around. He loved life and his membership in NARFE and he will be missed. Please convey my sympathy to his family. "
