"What a great friend. I knew what kind of man Larry was the very first time we met. When he shook my hand with a firm grip, I knew he was truly glad to meet me. When I spoke and he never took his eyes off of mine, I knew he was listening and interested in what I had to say. When he spoke and had nothing but positive and encouraging things to say, I knew he genuinely cared about others. Just a very short time after meeting Larry my roping horse had an accident leaving me without a mount for several months. When Larry heard about this he called and told me to come pick up his Dunn horse and use him until mine got healthy. There are very few ropers that would lend out a good horse especially to someone they did not know very well. This is the kind of man he was. He had two horses and I had none so he fixed it. Larry will be missed but not forgotten."
