Matthew Allan Steen, 19, of Buda, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on January 3, 2013, in Austin, Texas. Matthew was born on July 21, 1993 to William Allan Steen and Donna Lynne Steen in Austin, Texas. He graduated from Hays High School in 2011. Anyone who knew Matthew knows that his favorite word was LOVE. Matthew wrote the word LOVE on every surface he found and it was also his password to unlock his cell phone. LOVE is a perfect word for Matthew because LOVE is exactly what he brought to everyone that touched his life. His beautiful hazel eyes and smile touched all of us. We are forever blessed with the 19 wonderful years that GOD gifted us with him. Matthew will forever be in the hearts of his family and many friends.Matthew is survived by his parents William and Donna Steen; brother Bradley Steen; grandparents Scotty Steen, Judith McComis, Charles Wolff and Kathy Weber; uncle James Wolff; and cousins, Alexandria and Ashley Wolff. A memorial to celebrate his life will take place at Harrell Funeral Home in Kyle, Texas at 2:00 p.m. on January 12, 2013. A reception will be held at the Buda Methodist Church Fellowship Hall immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Travis County Center for Child Protection or a charity of your choice.
