Ruth Davis Trimble, 78, of Austin and Dripping Springs, passed away on March 3, 2013 at her home in Austin. She was born on June 14, 1934, in George West, Texas, and raised in the Devine area. She graduated from Devine High School and Business College in San Antonio. She worked in various businesses in San Antonio and Austin and for 16 years as secretary in the Counselor's office at Dripping Springs High School. This was her favorite job as she worked with a great staff and met and helped many great students over the years.She met and married Fred Trimble in San Antonio in 1953 while he was serving in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. After his service, they moved to Houston where their two daughters were born, then to Dripping Springs, where their son was born. They were all member of the First Baptist Church in Dripping Springs.Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Fred, her parents Ples and Sallie Davis, granddaughter Emily Henson and two sisters, Dorothy Britt and Mary Chumley. She is survived by daughter Karen Clinkscales and husband Paul, daughter Cathy Trimble, all of Austin, son, Larry Trimble, of Troup, Texas; grandchildren, Alex and Nick Clinkscales, Rachel and Sarah Henson and Thomas Trimble; brothers, J. P. Davis of Mathis, TX, David Davis and wife Ruby, P. J. Davis and wife Janis, all of Oklahoma; sisters, Juanita Gross of San Marcos, Gloria Patteson of Pleasanton, Ila Edgar of Brownwood, Glenda Kinison and husband Steve of Duncanville, Carol Andes and husband Keith of Purcell, OK, and many nieces and nephews in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and W. Virginia.The family will receive friends between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Harrell Funeral Home, 100 Heritage Drive. Funeral Service will at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Dripping Springs.
