"I am truly saddened to learn of his passing. He was a great man. I cannot tell you how many of his former students have asked about him over the years. The reason for this is because he touched so many lives including mine. What a great man and always treated me better than I deserved. "

"I'm at a loss for words. I've searched for Mr Wilson for the last few years and came up empty. Me Wilson made a huge impact on me in my Jr. high years and honestly saved me from mistakes I would have paid dearly for. This man sat with me on the floor and in the hall in front of the offiice and literally cried with me begging me to not quit school. He did so much for me. He made a deal with me to take me to the beach if I stayed, and when school was out he called me and took me, my best friend and girlfriend as he promised. I can't imagine that happening in today's time. We exchanged letters a few times in the early 90s while he was still in Osaka, I still have them. I wish we didn't lose touch. Mr. Wilson was a great man to me, I will never forget him.
Rest In Peace Mr. Wilson

"Rick was a good friend to me in High School. We use to have many heart-felt conversations riding around in his little sport car or just sitting on the porch. My prayers go out to his family. He will be missed."

"Sending loving comfort to Gene's family. We had lost touch back in the early 90's but were classmates at Deer Park High and shared many fun times and philosophical conversations with our group of teens. He was my escort for the Most Beautiful/Handsome contest. One time I rode with Ricky on his motorcycle back in 1975 to Austin! It was a fun trip! After I moved to Wimberley in 1981 and began raising my children and teaching, we would all get together and visit once a year. I enjoyed conversing with him about his writing.
May peace be with you all!
