Katherine Lindgren Beaver Varley
Katherine Varley, age 81, resident of Buda, Texas and former resident of Elgin, Texas, was called home by her Heavenly Father on May 17, 2018 while surrounded by her loved ones.
Katherine was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Robert Beaver; parents, Wilgert & Jesse Lindgren, Roy & Edna Beaver; brother, Kenneth Lindgren, and grandson, Robert Allen Beaver,
She is survived by husband, Gene Varley; four children: Belinda Ambrose-Cooke (and Gary Cooke) of Elgin, TX, Richard Beaver (and wife, Ella Beaver) of Elgin, TX, Gary Beaver of Port Lavaca, TX, and Karen Prinz Hyatt (and Don Hyatt) of Manor, TX; four siblings: Wilgert (and Mae) Lindgren of Fred, TX, LaNell (and Lester) Robbins, of Yantis, TX, Wayne Lindgren, of Pflugerville, TX, and James (and Debbie) Wheat of Blue, TX; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a very special church family.
Katherine graduated from Manor ISD and Nixon Clay Business College. After which she became an army wife and joined her husband, Robert, in Japan. Katherine and Robert later moved to Elgin where they raised their four children. Katherine worked at the Texas Department of Public Safety Motor Vehicle Theft Division, Upon retirement, Katherine enjoyed spending time with family, working on the farm, and being active members of Cedar Valley Baptist Church. Katherine shared a wonderful life with Robert until his death on September 9, 2006.
Katherine was again blessed in marriage to a family friend of many years, Gene Varley, of Buda, TX where they enjoyed attending fun events and being active members of the Buda First Baptist Church.
