In loving memory of

Scott Robert Kornacki
March 27, 1971 - January 19, 2019

Kornacki, Scott Robert 47, of Buda, passed away following a traumatic motorcycle accident on Saturday, January 19, 2019. Scott was full of life and energy, the first to laugh and always up for an outdoor adventure. He was dearly loved by many and devoted to his family. If he was here today, he would say "Live long and prosper".
Scott was born March 27, ,1971 in Islip, New York to Robert Jon Kornacki and Mary Jane Sylvester Kornacki. He was a lifelong collector of comic books. His favorite was Captain America. His love of the Captain would not only overtake his collection, but would have him drawing the Captain's shield on pizza box lids, and then flinging them at maybe not-so-innocent college friends. He loved movies like Scarface and Star Wars, which he could quote every line. He would often compare himself to Red from That 70s Show. He loved playing his favorite video game, Unreal Tournament. He was immensely proud of completing the game on God-like difficultly. He was a real Star Trek Aficionado and wanted to be buried in a red shirt as a joke. Scott married the love of his life, Shelly Lindberg on March 14, 1997 at the First Baptist Church of Elroy and together set forth raising three wonderful daughters. Scott loved to camp and hike with his family in Big Bend and Enchanted rock. He loved all kinds of water sports and talked about buying a boat. He loved visiting Mustang Island, Miami, and Hawaii. He also loved to surf, even though he could not stand on the surfboard. Scott was an IRS employee for over fifteen years, working in data transcription and other positions. He loved working with his hands, as he often fixed everything from water pipes to cars all on his own. Scott had a quirky sense of humor; he loved to tease his family and make himself laugh with his own silly jokes.
Scott worshiped his family and will be greatly missed by his wife, Shelly, and his daughters, Rachel, Bethany, and Rebekah. His mother, Mary Jane Yanta; brother, Brett Kornacki; sisters; Allison and Mary Beth Yanta, and Jessica Huffman and her husband Daniel will share his loss. His father, Robert Kornacki; his wife Cathie; his twin sisters; Erin and Tess Kornacki; his niece, Brianna; his nephews; Kristian and Liam; his in-laws; Larry and Linda Lindberg, brother-in-law, Brian Lindberg and his wife Adriana will also miss his infectious laugh.
Scott's amazing life will be celebrated at 1:00pm on Saturday, January 26th, 2019 at Harrell Funeral Home, 1715 Kirby, Kyle Texas. Please bring your memories and joy.

"My sincere condolences to the family of Scott. He was one of my best childhood friends before I moved away from Lampasas around 1982. I have fond memories of spending the night with him and Brett and playing chess and watching movies. Sadly, I lost touch and had not spoke to him since. I had hoped to reconnect one day but never got to. Love you brother and I know you are in heaven watching over your family. God Bless!!!! Abe Garcia-Lubbock TX"

"It took me a few days to process the loss of Scott after hearing the news of his passing. Growing up, Wcitt was one of my best friends. He was the kind of friend that although time passes, you pick up right where you left off when you speak with them. Ill always remember his sense of humor as we shared a similar one, his love of movies and being able to throw a movie line out in different situations. Also his love of boxing when younger. There are too many memories too share all of them. The world lost a good man, and he will be missed by me and always remembered."

"You can always tell where a beautiful soul has been by the tears and the smiles left behind... Praying you will all have all the time you need for healing tears to soften the heartache, for gentle walks through years of memories, for God's infinite love to fill the empty places with His everlasting hope and peace. Thinking of all the family as you all mourn the loss someone as special as my dear friend Scott. Hoping with time a gentle peace will return to your life. May God's comfort be yours I'm going to miss your stories about Scarface, the mafia, motorcycles and your girls during our breaks. Norma =!="

"At work, I kept calling you the wrong name and I just couldn't explain why. Punished myself by banning my head to the desk everytime I called you 'Brian' instead of 'Scott'. You were laughing at me and said, 'No QR error for a month and then you have it now.' I'll miss that. I'll miss you a lot. I'll miss your smile and your sense of humor. RIP my friend."

"I am deeply saddened by the loss of Scott....Scott and I were childhood friends and in the same graduating class. The first memory that popped in my mind when I heard the news was a picture of Scott in his blue tuxedo at prom. We attended church together while we were younger and he was always so kind, witty and protective of others. The memories I have of him makes me smile. My prayers continue for your entire family!"
