Linda C. Goodwin, age 72, of Payson, died Saturday, July 7, 2018, at 4:37 pm in Blessing Hospital.
Linda was born July 11, 1945 in Pittsfield, IL, the daughter of Wayne and Margaret Hall Butler. She married Bill Goodwin on December 14, 1968 in Quincy, IL. He survives.
Linda was a 1963 graduate of Pittsfield High School. In 1964 she graduated from Gem City Business College. She worked as a secretary at Liberty High School from August of 1978 until her retirement in June of 2010. After her retirement, she worked part time at Dempsey and Dempsey Law Office from July of 2012 until her recent illness. She was a devoted member of The Crossing in Quincy. Linda was a great story teller who loved spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: two children, Kim Goodwin of Quincy; and Christopher (Dennese) Goodwin of LaGrange, MO; four grandchildren: Taylor and Tanner Plunk and Kaileigh and Hayden Goodwin; two great-grandchildren, Karter and Hudson; her mother, Margaret Butler of Pittsfield; two brothers: Dan (Ginny) Butler of Tucson, AZ, and Kevin (Suzie) Butler of Pittsfield; her sister Mickie (Steve) Kinney of Adel, IA; and several nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her father and an infant brother, Billy Wayne Butler.
Services: 10:00 am Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
Burial: Xander Cemetery, Liberty, Illinois
Visitation: 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Wednesday July 11, 2018 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
