Carolyn Lucille (Starrett) Feld Stupasky made her journey to heaven to be with her Eternal Valentine her Lord and Savior on February 14, 2018 at 8:40 am at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois, surrounded by her two daughters. She was extremely lucky in love with her sweet husband Paul (Shorty) Stupasky who stayed hand in hand by her side.
Carolyn was born prematurely on June 19, 1936 at Levering Hospital in Hannibal, MO. She was the daughter of Lucille E. (Turner) & Thomas C. Starrett. She weighed a mere 3lbs 3oz. Many adventurous memories were made by these two while being raised on the family farm in Shelby County, Missouri. They remained close in their adult life. Carolyn went to grade school in a one room school house that she walked to everyday and then went to high school at Hunnewell High in Hunnewell, MO. She later moved to Quincy and worked at Motorola for a few years and then decided to attend Quincy Beauty Academy where she became a cosmetologist. She was extremely talented in this field and made many friends. Her adventurous spirit led her to many jobs that she excelled at. Her most favorite job was being a secretary for Monsignor Mike Kuse at Blessed Sacrament. Upon her retirement from there she proceeded to be a driver for Knapheide Manufacturing.
In 1958 Carolyn wed Gilbert E. Feld Sr. they together raised three children. Brenda S. (George) Crawford, Laura J. (Mark) Goehl, Gilbert E. (Susan (Michael Dobson) Feld Jr., in Quincy IL. Her children were blessed to call her Mother and learned from her to Love the Lord even in trying times. She battled and won the fight against Hodgkin's Lymphoma and Lung Cancer in 1975-77 all this with the Lord by her side. Her son Gil preceded her in death in 2010 and her faith was demonstrated again. Her Grandchildren made sure to share their favorite memories over this last few weeks. Their devotion to her was evident and she relished every minute. Grandchildren included Keith (Amy) Crawford, Kristie (Shannon) Falb, Kara (Josh) Puterbaugh, Kayla (Jason) Carpenter, Kendyl (Philip) Armistead, Jennifer (Jason) Hermann, Alaina (Todd) Wagner, Adam (Joan) Goehl.
