Melinda Marie Deeds, age 40, of Quincy, died Thursday, October 6, 2016, at 12:01 am in Blessing Hospital.
Melinda was born August 19, 1976 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of John and Ellen Miller Stice. She married Brian Deeds on August 14, 2004 in Quincy. He survives.
She graduated Quincy High School in 1994. Melinda was a massage therapist and was self employed. She also did manicures and pedicures. Melinda loved to work in the yard and landscape it. She enjoyed taking care of her three Bassett hounds, Lola, Ruby, and Mabel, and cooking. Being with her family was her #1 priority.
In addition to her husband, Melinda is survived by her two sons, Isaiah and Noah Stice both of Quincy; her parents; two sisters, Catherine Turner and Alyssa (Joey Lilikes) Stice, both of Quincy; and nieces and nephews Jacob Turner, and Jasper and Amelia Lilikes.
Melinda was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Jason and Caroline Stice, and maternal grandparents, Jacob and Edna Miller.
Memorial Mass: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Blessed Sacrament Parish, with Monsignor Michael Kuse officiating.
