"So sorry to learn of Marjorie's passing. We were roommates my freshman year of college at Northeast Missouri State University, 1949-1950. We had exchanged greetings through the years until the present. A few years ago I did arrange a meeting with her in Quincy when I was doing some genealogy research. I had hoped that we might get together again. I will miss her."

"Marjorie was a friend of my mother, Violet Smoot, and will be missed by mom. I also taught with her at Adams School. She was an intelligent lady. She had a sincere love for all of her animal friends through the years and received a great deal of pleasure caring for them. Mercedes (her last cat) misses you, Marge."

"I was so sorry to read about Marjorie. We were very good friends when both of us were students at Hannibal LaGrange College from 1946 to 1948. We maintained that friendship though letters until the present time. I had not realized that she became ill. I send my sympathy to any family members. She was a very sweet woman."
